Solicitors office refurbishment in London
Bowling & Company, a well known solicitors in Stratford, London E15, choose Fusion Office Design to carry out a refurbishment of their existing 3-floor offices. The wide-ranging refurbishment has taken more 12 months from initial design meetings through to the completion of work.
The High Street offices are in a former department store building built in the Victorian era. With layers of old refurbishments left in situ on a handsome, but challenging, heritage office building the refurbishment project often took some unexpected twists and turns.

The 1st floor offices include client-facing meeting rooms and reception area. The meeting rooms are positioned immediately next to the reception seating area and to help with sound privacy Fusion used double glazed partitions that can be seen in the image above. A compact reception desk is a good fit in the space and manages to look sharp and professional.

The new flooring used in the refurb design is a close match to the meeting room doors. As a design style this use of wood brings a natural element to counter balance the glass and metal finishes.

The largest office meeting room has a tidy, uncluttered, interior to ensure its a focused space. The barrel shaped boardroom table for 12 people has integral cable management to keep wiring out of sight.

Smaller meeting rooms use the same design style and meeting chairs. All the meeting rooms are set up for video and voice conferencing.

A third room uses just soft seating as a less formal, more adaptable layout that can be adapted to suit the type of meeting. Although much of the decor is plain white there are interesting views across the main road that give the rooms more dynamism.

The office refurbishment included back of house areas including a print utility / post room that was planned to meet the needs of the office manager.

Our refurb work included the ground floor entrance lobby so that first impressions aren’t neglected.

During the refurb project we took the WCs out of service in a phased manner to refresh the toilets on all floors. New cubicles, sanitary ware, flooring and lighting were included in the scope of works.

The project was longer duration than some refurbishment schemes as there was little in the way of turnaround space to decant staff. This meant some of the refurb went on around staff meaning out of hours working for the trades. The finished result hasn’t compromised on quality of workmanship which is a testament to the clients’ patience and the hard work of all the team on site.
